Anonymous asked: Is that ur full first name? im also Edo and i kno they love to have long complicated names but the meanings are sumthing very poetic, i was jus wonder it there was more to ur name and if so do u kno its meaning?
Yes, my full first name is IYORE. And about the long yet meaningful names, I agree with you on that. Nevertheless, Edo do have short names too, like mine. There is no more to my name, I’m not shortening it, or trying to make it sound and look appealing.
Iyore literally means ‘Go, Come’ Iyo-re. But not in my case. Basically, Iyore means, the reincarnation of someone (a close family member, in most cases, Grandmother).
So my story is, my grandmother, Late Princess Christiana Omoruyi, died right before I was born. She came back to life through me. I am my living grandmother. Therefore, IYO-RE means my grandmother leaving and returning back. That’s where the Go-come comes in.

Side note:
Some people also refer the name to someone that is strong/brave, like a solider going for battle and returning home.
Others might say, Safe Journey.
All together, it’s the idea of Going and Coming.
Unisex name.
Anonymous asked: Do looks mean anything to you? Don’t lie, could you fall in love with someone you thought was ugly?
Yes, ‘looks’ to my own definition mean something to me. And I think the probability of me falling in love with someone I thought was ugly is pretty high. Nothing is impossible.
